Conservation of an early 20th century architectural tracing.

Architectural tracings are rolled up, rolled out, used on site, folded, crammed into drawers, in short they have suffered major damages in their short life spans. Added to that they are made of heavily pulped, short fibred paper and hence susceptible to tear damages.

The next photos will show you the treatment process.
